The Process

We carry a HUGE SELECTION of frames. We work with the finest frame makers in Long Island City such as Rhonda Feinman and APF/Munn, and in Boston, A Street Frames. We have full lines from larger manufacturers like Larson Juhl, Roma Moulding, Nielsen and Nurre Caxton. Our local favorite is Vermont Hardwoods, whose mouldings are milled in Chester. We also buy the best value in less expensive mouldings so that we can give you more for less.

Many GREEN FRAMING choices are also available. The Drawing Board is proud to carry mouldings that are harvested from managed, sustainable forests that are FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. These are available in a variety of finishes, achieved with organic, water-based stains – no oils or chemical solvents are used. We offer beautiful 100% cotton rag boards in a wide range of color choices.

We offer LOTS OF GUIDANCE. Our framers will advise you on the proper mounting techniques and glazing options for your piece. They will also help you choose mat colors, fillets, or liners to complement and enhance your art.

Our goal is to make you FEEL COMFORTABLE with the cost and delighted with your choice. We are more than happy to work with you until we reach your ideal price point. You can leave with a design solution that fits your art and your budget. If you have a time sensitive project, we offer rush service.
